TORNIOHAPARANDA. Finland’s most popular reggae artist Jukka Poika gave a concert in his old home town Tornio yesterday. Born as Jukka Rousu in Haukipudas outside of Oulu, his family moved to Tornio where the young musician lived until leaving for the Finnish capital in 1994.

Jukka Poika writes his song texts in Finnish and has been involved in many different music constellations since the start in the late 90′s: Soul Captain Band, Kapteeni Ä-ni, Sound Explosion Band, Jukka Poika & Jenkkarekka, Jukka Poika & Kompostikopla. He and his band have received many awards in the last years:  best song in Finland, best live band, most sold song etc.

In Tornio he performed at the annual Twin City festival.
